Alma cardigan

The fine Mongolian cashmere makes Alma soft and warm without adding bulk. The round neck and seven small buttons give the cardigan a simple, classic look. It can be worn closed or open over a top, and the fine knit makes it easy to wear under a jacket. The long ribbed cuffs at the wrists gather the sleeves.

Alma has a classic, straight cut. The fit is regular — neither tight nor oversized — but the model has no extra room across the chest and stomach. If you want to wear it closed, compare the chest width with a cardigan that already fits you. If you're between two sizes or want more room, choose the larger one. Available in Black, Light grey, Raspberry, Lavender, Natural taupe and Natural sand.

Cashmere stays beautiful for the longest time with gentle handling. Air your clothes between uses and wash them in cold water with wool detergent. Dry flat and avoid twisting. Store folded rather than on a hanger to maintain shape.

Cashmere is the goat's finest undercoat — the innermost layer that keeps the animal warm through the Mongolian winter. That's why the fibre can be both light and warm at once, and why it feels soft against the skin rather than scratchy.

Both the yarn and the knitting are made in Mongolia. That's rarer than it sounds: Mongolia is the world's second-largest supplier of raw cashmere, but only a small share is processed into finished garments in the country. Most is sent elsewhere for production.
