Saran pullover

Saran is knitted in 100% Mongolian cashmere. The dropped shoulder seam gives room across the back and arms, and the jumper falls softly down over the body. A fine vertical line down the centre front gives it direction without making it look decorated. The high ribbed edges at the hem and wrists hold the shape. The round neck is ribbed and sits so the jumper can be worn alone or over a shirt, letting the collar show.

Available in natural taupe – a dark beige shade in undyed cashmere – and in a dark bordeaux. The model is 170 cm tall and wears size S.

Cashmere stays beautiful for the longest time with gentle handling. Air your clothes between uses and wash them in cold water with wool detergent. Dry flat and avoid twisting. Store folded rather than on a hanger to maintain shape.

Cashmere is the goat's finest undercoat — the innermost layer that keeps the animal warm through the Mongolian winter. That's why the fibre can be both light and warm at once, and why it feels soft against the skin rather than scratchy.

Both the yarn and the knitting are made in Mongolia. That's rarer than it sounds: Mongolia is the world's second-largest supplier of raw cashmere, but only a small share is processed into finished garments in the country. Most is sent elsewhere for production.
