Details

Suvd is knitted in 100% yak wool from Mongolia and has a wide, elastic shape that sits comfortably around the head without pinching. The dense knit covers the ears well and makes the headband a practical alternative to a hat on cool autumn and winter days. Available in Natural platinum grey, Natural light brown and Natural dark brown – three of yak wool's own shades, completely undyed. The soft undercoat gives good warmth, while the look stays simple and natural.
Care

Yak wool stays beautiful longest with gentle handling. Air your garment between wears, and wash it in cold water with wool detergent. Dry flat and avoid wringing. Store folded rather than on a hanger to keep its shape.
Material and origin

Yak wool comes from the animal's soft undercoat, just like cashmere from the goat — it's not the guard hairs but the layer beneath that's used. It's combed out in spring, when the animal naturally sheds its winter coat.

A single yak yields enough wool for a whole sweater on its own — far more than a single cashmere goat can provide. Both the yarn and the knitting are made in Mongolia, the same place the animals live.
