Khatan leg warmers

Khatan leg warmers are knitted in 100% yak wool, known to be one of the warmest natural fibres from Mongolia. They give intense, natural warmth around the legs and knees and are ideal for cold days – both at home and out and about.

Yak wool's natural colours make them easy to combine with your wardrobe.
Natural dark brown has a deep, dark brown tone, while Natural light brown is lighter and more mottled in look. Both variants have yak wool's characteristic softness and light, breathable comfort.

The ribbed structure makes them flexible and comfortable to wear, and they can be worn over leggings, tights and trousers when you want extra warmth.

Yak wool stays beautiful longest with gentle handling. Air your garment between wears, and wash it in cold water with wool detergent. Dry flat and avoid wringing. Store folded rather than on a hanger to keep its shape.

Yak wool comes from the animal's soft undercoat, just like cashmere from the goat — it's not the guard hairs but the layer beneath that's used. It's combed out in spring, when the animal naturally sheds its winter coat.

A single yak yields enough wool for a whole sweater on its own — far more than a single cashmere goat can provide. Both the yarn and the knitting are made in Mongolia, the same place the animals live.
