Naran blouse

The undyed yak wool makes Naran soft and warm and gives the natural colours a light, mottled play. The cable pattern is gathered on the front panel, while the sleeves, sides and back are plain-knitted. This gives the blouse character without making the whole knit heavy.

The front hem is slightly raised and rounded, so the blouse is shorter at the front than the back — a small asymmetric touch in an otherwise simple, straight cut.

Available in Natural platinum grey and Natural light brown — two undyed shades. The model is 187 cm tall and wears size L.

Yak wool stays beautiful longest with gentle handling. Air your garment between wears, and wash it in cold water with wool detergent. Dry flat and avoid wringing. Store folded rather than on a hanger to keep its shape.

Yak wool comes from the animal's soft undercoat, just like cashmere from the goat — it's not the guard hairs but the layer beneath that's used. It's combed out in spring, when the animal naturally sheds its winter coat.

A single yak yields enough wool for a whole sweater on its own — far more than a single cashmere goat can provide. Both the yarn and the knitting are made in Mongolia, the same place the animals live.
