Khongor coat

Khongor is a knee-length coat in 100% Mongolian camel wool, where the wool's warm, soft quality is allowed to stand out clearly. The classic herringbone pattern in light camel and cognac is created in camel wool's own, undyed shades and gives a distinctive look, while the roomy fit creates a relaxed, elegant drape. It looks great worn open over knitwear and other layers and suits the autumn and milder winter days well. A bold yet timeless choice, with the material's natural play of colour at its centre.

Camel wool stays beautiful longest with gentle handling. Air your garment between wears, and wash it in cold water with wool detergent. Dry flat and avoid wringing. Store folded rather than on a hanger to keep its shape.

Camel wool comes from the camel's soft undercoat, combed out in spring in the same way as cashmere and yak. The wool's golden, natural colour is the camel's own.

A single camel yields several kilos of wool a year — far more than a single cashmere goat or yak can provide. Both the yarn and the knitting are made in Mongolia.
