Dulaan socks

Dulaan is knitted in 100% camel wool and has a warm, light quality that helps keep feet comfortably warm. The heel and toe are reinforced, but the fine fibres still make the socks best suited to relaxing, as sleep socks, and for longer journeys rather than everyday use in shoes. The golden camel colour comes from the camel's own undercoat and is completely undyed. A good choice when you want extra warmth without a heavy or coarse wool sock.

Camel wool stays beautiful longest with gentle handling. Air your garment between wears, and wash it in cold water with wool detergent. Dry flat and avoid wringing. Store folded rather than on a hanger to keep its shape.

Camel wool comes from the camel's soft undercoat, combed out in spring in the same way as cashmere and yak. The wool's golden, natural colour is the camel's own.

A single camel yields several kilos of wool a year — far more than a single cashmere goat or yak can provide. Both the yarn and the knitting are made in Mongolia.
