Tsolmon gloves

Tsolmon is knitted in 100% yak wool and has a discreet pattern in black and Platinum Grey, giving the gloves a graphic yet muted look. Yak wool's fine undercoat makes them soft and comfortable to wear, while insulating well on cold days. The ribbed edge finishes close around the wrist and helps keep the warmth in. Platinum Grey is yak wool's own undyed shade, while the black part is dyed. A simple pair of winter gloves where the pattern adds a little extra character without dominating.

Yak wool stays beautiful longest with gentle handling. Air your garment between wears, and wash it in cold water with wool detergent. Dry flat and avoid wringing. Store folded rather than on a hanger to keep its shape.

Yak wool comes from the animal's soft undercoat, just like cashmere from the goat — it's not the guard hairs but the layer beneath that's used. It's combed out in spring, when the animal naturally sheds its winter coat.

A single yak yields enough wool for a whole sweater on its own — far more than a single cashmere goat can provide. Both the yarn and the knitting are made in Mongolia, the same place the animals live.
