Numur neck scarf

Numur is knitted in 100% Mongolian camel wool and has the wool's own warm, golden colour — entirely without dyeing. The narrow 22 × 157 cm shape makes the scarf easy to wrap around the neck without much bulk, and the camel wool's fine undercoat gives a warm and comfortable feel. The fibres are combed from the camel in spring and naturally have good insulating and temperature-regulating properties. The simple look and natural shade make Numur especially well suited with autumn and winter coats in both light and dark colours.

Camel wool stays beautiful longest with gentle handling. Air your garment between wears, and wash it in cold water with wool detergent. Dry flat and avoid wringing. Store folded rather than on a hanger to keep its shape.

Camel wool comes from the camel's soft undercoat, combed out in spring in the same way as cashmere and yak. The wool's golden, natural colour is the camel's own.

A single camel yields several kilos of wool a year — far more than a single cashmere goat or yak can provide. Both the yarn and the knitting are made in Mongolia.
