These mittens are knitted from 100% yak wool from the highlands of Mongolia – a natural, warm quality. The fine structure of the yarn makes them light and comfortable to wear, while providing effective warmth on cold winter days. Yak wool is naturally warm, breathable, and durable. It comes from the yak, which lives on the Mongolian plateau, where it is adapted to extreme temperatures. The yarn provides a soft yet robust material with a natural, rustic look.

Yak wool requires the same gentle treatment as cashmere. Wash in lukewarm water with a mild wool detergent and dry flat on a towel. Air frequently instead of washing to preserve the natural properties of the fibers.
